What they wanted: technical advice to help execute an Umbraco project

Huntingdonshire had already chosen to develop their new website in Umbraco, and wanted to get our expertise in developing in this environment. Our reputation in developing the Localgov.Starterkit and uSync made them keen to take advantage of our advice and guidance.

What we did:

Over a period of three or four months, we made regular visits to spend a day with the team. We talked with them about the strategic and technical status of their project, and we helped them to identify how to progress to the next stage.

What we delivered:

Huntingdonshire really needed the clear-sighted advice of someone who was outside of the day-to-day delivery of their project. We were able to help them take a fresh perspective on what they were doing, both in the nitty-gritty of development, and at a more strategic level. They were using Umbraco, which meant we were particularly well-placed to advise on how to get the best from this open source content management system, but they also found our general expertise in local government web delivery useful, as we were able to talk about best practice, and lessons learned in other councils.
